What is coaching?

Coaching is a partnership created by a coach and a client that serves to help the client move from point A to point B. A client can work with a coach for a number of reasons all of which focus on helping the client achieve a goal.

Coaching is primarily a present and future looking process where the client sets the agenda. This is one of the reasons why coaching should not be confused with therapy or consulting.

In essence, the coach helps the client improve an area of life the client wants to work on by asking thought provoking questions that help clarify goals and execute on the attainment of those goals. The coach also has available assessments and tools that assist the client in learning more about where they are right now, where they want to be and the best way to get there.

Possibly of utmost importance is the accountability partner and sounding board the client has access to when working with a coach within the coaching process.

It’s important to note that you set the agenda, not the coach, and your coach gives you the tools and objective feedback to keep you on track.

  • You will gain greater insight into who you are. Meaning, you will have the opportunity to get clear on what you want in life and how to make it happen.
     
  • You will have a dedicated coach who will help you navigate through the process of helping you clarify your goals and action plan as well as keep you on track as you move toward the attainment of your goals.
     
  • You will have a coach who is trained, educated and experienced in helping people live a happier, healthier, more successful life.
     
  • You will learn to eliminate those things from your life that are counterproductive and replace them with activities that are focused on attaining your goals.
     
  • Coaching requires time, money and dedication to reach your goals. As long as you are committed, expect a lot out of the investment you are making in yourself. Remember, the coach won’t do the work for you.
     
  • After three to six months of coaching you can expect to see results in the form of new opportunities, increased productivity, and focus on a vision for your life created by you that inspires you more each day.


 

Individual Coaching Sessions

Individual coaching sessions are $40 for one half hour and $80 per hour.  Assessments to support your coaching are priced separately.
